Desiree and Ron's Engagement Shoot at Exchange Place
Desiree and Ron are close Jersey City friends of ours and they wanted to do a quick engagement session for their save the dates for their destination wedding in Jamaica! We had about 15 mins of daylight left and quickly pumped out a couple of beautiful portraits look out towards the Manhattan Skyline - Hence the one location! They knew exactly what they wanted, brought along two really dope chairs to sit in and we were done in about 10 mins. Desiree is a professional dancer so I had to get the moving towards the end. Loved this shoot so much - Epic!!
Jaeke Lyn and Scott's Engagement Shoot in Liberty State Park Jersey City
I got to hang with these two lovebirds yesterday and look how much fun we had! The sun came out for us and it ended up being a perfect day in Jersey City despite what the weather report was telling us earlier. I love shooting in Liberty State Park as there are so many different backdrops - The beautiful greenery, the water, the NYC skyline. There’s always plenty of space and privacy for the couple that are a little shy and I love that you always find a free park. Whether my couple drive in or I do, having a car close by means you don’t have to drag all your belongings around with you during the shoot - I highly recommend being bag free on your engagement shoot as it gives you so much more freedom to focus all your attention on your loved one and less on finding somewhere to put your belongings down every 5 minutes.
Gavina and Ed's Williamsburg Engagement Shoot
Today we captured a little bit of Gavina and Ed's life pre wedding! They wanted to get some practice in front of the camera for their wedding photography in August and also wanted to capture a little bit of their life living in Williamsburg seeing as their wedding will be in Long Island. We had such a fun shoot, starting inside and working our way down to the Wiliamsburg waterfront. I especially loved their Brooklyn rooftop views!
Central Park Spring Engagement Shoot
How cute is this Central Park engagement shoot! Central Park is a always a great location for engagement photos as there are so many different backdrops and it looks so different with the seasons year round. This time of the year the cherry blossoms are just starting to bloom and little bursts of color can be seen in every direction.
Tina and Mike are getting married in April 2019 at The Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn NY and I'm beyond excited to document their special day! Not only are they both super sweet but they were so relaxed and easy to take photos of. The reason i'm so adamant about my couples doing a shoot with me before the wedding is because a) It gives us the chance to get to know each other a little better so we're not strangers on the wedding day and b) It allows the couple to have a little practice run before the wedding and see how easy it really is!! My brides often tell me they are awkward in front of the camera and hate posing. Tina was a similar story and told me this was her first professional shoot but honestly you couldn't tell.. she handle it like a pro, was so relaxed and just had fun with it!
Bella & Matt || Barrow Mansion Jersey City Winter Wedding
I first met with Bella at White Star on Brunswick St to discuss shooting their engagement photos. We got along so well I was so excited when she asked me to shoot her wedding too. On the day she only had me shoot for 2 hours but you can see it was more than enough to capture the intimate ceremony and some portraits afterwards. Their ceremony was held at the historic Barrow Mansion and the reception at Maritime Parc in Liberty State Park. I did end up shooting a little longer than I was supposed to… I was having so much fun and Bella decided to get on the dance floor for me which resulted in the amazing last couple of photos which I absolutely adore.
David & Michelle - Asbury Park Wedding
Michelle & David exchanged their nuptials surrounded by friends and family on a beautiful Spring day on the rooftop of the Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park. With beaming sunshine and the smell of salt in the air, it was a spectacular day for a beachside wedding. After the ceremony we walked down to the boardwalk were we shot some of their bridal portraits in front of the Wooden Walls Art Project. The murals here are amazing for wedding photos and I need to make a special mention to Pau Quintanajornet, James Vance and Michela Martello - It was these three artist's work that David & Michelle took their wedding portraits in front of. As Michelle and David had chosen not to have a wedding party - we only spent about 20 minutes taking photos. This meant they had plenty of time to go and enjoy their cocktail hour. I'm a big fan of this - cocktail hour is so fun and its sad to miss the beginning of your party, also this the best time mingle with your guests before all the formalities start. David and Michelle's wedding reception was held across the road at Tim McLoone's Supper Club. The wedding bouquets were done by Anna's Flowers in West Long Branch NJ. Michelle worked on their the styling of the wedding reception herself filling the room with hundreds of candles giving the space a warm intimate vibe.
